I don’t want us to get boring. I want us to still be making ridiculously lame jokes when we’re 80. I want us to still be alive when we’re 80, for that matter. I don’t want to be end up being one of those couples that has sex once a week and are ‘too tired’ for it any other night. I want to keep going for long drives 20 years after we’re married. I want to keep surprising you, whether it’s with corny love notes or a special dinner that I put hours into just because I love you. I want to be able to make you happy when you’ve had a horrible day. I want you, most of all, to show our kids what it’s like to love, to be protected and valued.
