Today, when I said yes and became your girlfriend, that wasn’t something little. I’ve been thinking and praying for a long time. I was bullied for years by a whole series of guys, and it means a lot that I trust you with something as big as my heart. I never used to even let myself imagine this. But now, know that I didn’t say yes lightly. This isn’t intended to be a short fling, and I don’t see you as the first in a line of many. Someday, I hope I’ll get to say yes one more time, when you get down on one knee and hand me a ring. But until then, you and I can stick together, as you teach me how to trust and love.
